Itinuturing ng Southern Police District (SPD) na naging mapayapa ang unang araw ng paghahain ng certificates of candidacy (COC) sa Sofitel Hotel, CCP Complex sa Pasay City nitong Oktubre 1.
Ito ang inilahad ni SPD director Brig. General Jimili Macaraeg sa gitna ng isinagawang security briefing sa Advance Command Post, Romblon Function Hall ng naturang hotel, dakong 6:00 ng gabi ng Biyernes.
"No untoward incident was reported. Unlike in the past, supporters were not allowed inside the Harbor Tent area where the candidates are to file their candidacy," aniya.
Nasa kabuuang 470 na pulis mula sa SPD Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) at iba pang unit ang ipinakalat upang tiyakin ang seguridad sa paligid ng CCP Complex.
