Inaasahan nina dating Senador Antonio Trillanes IV at human rights lawyer Chel Diokno na mahikayat ng endorsement ng 1Sambayan si Vice President Leni Robredo na sumali sa presidential race.

Hindi pa rin nagpapasya ang bise presidente tungkol sa kanyang politikal na plano sa 2022.

“Now that the 1Sambayan has endorsed VP Leni, we hope that she would be encouraged to finally decide and run for president. We, in the Magdalo group, have been consistent in urging her to run as we believe in her capacity to save the country from the mess (that) Duterte has put us into,” ayon sa pahayag ni Trillanes.

“If she decides to run, the Magdalo group would fully support her to ensure her win,” dagdag pa ng dating senador.

Sa Facebook page ni Diokno, "well-deserved" ang endorsement ng 1Sambayan kay Robredo.

“This is a well-deserved nomination. Walang ibang handang pamunuan tayo kundi si VP Leni. Hoping na handa ang united opposition para suportahan si VP  if she decides to run!,” ani Diokno.

Inendorso si Diokno ng Liberal Party (LP), na pinamumunuan ni Robredo, bilang guest senatorial candidate para sa 2022 slate nito.

Nitong Huwebes, opisyal nang inendorso ng 1Sambayan si Robredo bilang kanilang presidential candidate.
