Minaliit lamang ng grupo ni Senator Aquilino Pimentel saPartido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) ang naging hakbang ng paksyon ni Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi na kasuhan ngestafa at qualified theft ang treasurer ng partido.
“This is a funny and ignorant attempt by a group that has no respect, knowledge, and understanding of the law. They have again shown their propensity to make lies and libelous assaults against law abiding citizens,” ang bahagi ng pahayag ng kaalyado ni Pimentel sa partido na si Ron Munsayac, nitong Sabado.
“There is no truth to their wild and baseless allegations against PDP-Laban Treasurer Evan Reballadura. Evan can easily answer and debunk such accusations in the proper time,” reaksyon ng grupo ni Pimentel.

Sa pahayag ng paksyon ni Cusi nitong Biyernes, ilang beses umanong tumanggi si Reballadura na iharap sa grupo ni Cusi ang financial report ng partido sa panahon ng panunungkulan nito bilang treasurer.
Isinampa ni PDP-Laban national committee officer Reymar Mansilungan ang kaso saProvincial Prosecution Office sa Daet, Camarines Norte, nitong Huwebes.
Sinabi ng grupo ni Cusi, kabilang sa pondong nais nilang masilip ang umano'y P100 milyong mula sa membership fee ng mahigit sa 100,000 miyembro ng partido.
“Mr. Rebadulla has to account for all the collections of the party since he assumed office but since he refuses to do so, we are compelled to file this case against him,” banggit ni Mansilungan.
Depensa naman ni Munsayac, maliwanag aniyang pag-amin ng paksyon ni Cusi na hindi nila makontrol ang totoong PDP-Laban party.
“The leadership of the Party is with the real officers who still contitue to exercise administrative and executive control. They have admitted that they are not authorized and do not have any custody at all of the true and official records and resources of Party.Based only speculations and conjectures bereft of any evidence, they are desperately trying to scare andharrassthe true leaders of the party…They are merely committing an illegal and hostile attempt to steal or hi-jack the party and its resources for their own selfish and corrupt ends,” anang kaalyado ni Pimentel.
Tiniyak din ni Munsayac na "nasa maayos ang lahat ng kanilang records sa partido at ito ay nasa tamang lugar."
Pagtatanggol pa ni Munsayac, "walang nagawang krimen si Reballadura" at sinabi ring hindi miyembro ng partido si Mansilungan.
