Maliban sa hindi tama sa mata publiko, para sa Kontra Daya, isang insulto sa batas ang pagkandidato ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte bilang bise-presidente sa 2022 National elections.
“While there is an argument that it is technically legal, this is still patently unethical,”sabi ni Kontra Daya Convenor Danilo Arao.
“Duterte running for VP makes a mockery of the law, similar to how the party-list system is being hijacked by the rich and powerful,”dagdag nito.
Naging makatotohanan aniya ang posibilidad na magkaroon ng pangalawang termino si Duterte sa oras na bumaba sa puwesto ang kanyang running mate.

“This defeats the purpose of the Constitution that prohibits such a situation,” aniya.
Inanunsyo ng Pangulo nitong Martes, Agosto 24, na tatakbo siya bilang bise-presidente sa May 2022 polls.
Nangangamba rin ang election watchdog sa kredibilidad ng halalan dahil may mga appointee si Duterte sa Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
“Our major concern is the credibility of 2022 polls, the results of which is crucial not just to the pandemic response but also to the national development,”sabi ni Arao.
Sa pagreretiro ni Chairman Sheriff Abas, Commissioners Rowena Guanzon at Antonio Kho sa Pebrero 2022, maiiwan ang ilang Duterte appointee na sina Commissioners Socorro Inting at Marlon Casquejo sa nasabing ahensya ng pamahalaan.
