Cagayan— Opisyal nang inanunsyo ng Team Cagayan at ng Miss Universe Philippines Cagayan provinceaccredited partners na hindi na sasali sa 2nd edition ng Miss Universe Philippines si Gianne Kryssee Tecson Asuncion.
Ginawa ang anunsyo sa pamamagitan ng press release na ipinadala sa TEMPO-Manila Bulletin.
“We regret to inform our supporters that Miss Cagayan Province 2021 will no longer participate in the 2nd edition of Miss Universe Philippines.”
Nagpasya umano ang MUPh Organization na huwag nang payagan ang delagado na si Miss Gi Asuncion na magpatuloy dahil sa confinement nito sa ospital dahil sa COVID-19.

“This heartbreaking decision was reached by them considering the stress the pageant activities would take a huge toll on Miss Asuncion’s health which could impede her faster recovery.”ayon sa Team Cagayan.
Sumang-ayon ang Team Cagayan sa desisyon na ito habang isinasaalang-alang nila ang kalusugan at mabilis na paggaling ni Miss Asuncion.
“We also put a premium on the health and well-being of our delegate above anything else.” anila.
Pinasalamatan din nila ang mga naging achievements ni Asuncion.
“We thank you hugely for ably representing us on the national stage and for bringing to the fore the admirable qualities of a modern Cagayana,” saad ng Team Cagayan.
Matatandaang nagpositibo sa COVID-19 with pneumonia si Asuncion.
