Inamin ng Department of Health (DOH) na mayroon pang ilang healthcare workers na tatanggap pa lang ng special risk allowance (SRA) kaya’t sisiguraduhin ito ng ahensya na maipahagi na.
Ayon kay Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega, nasa 359, 501 healthcare workers, kabilang na ang higit 54,000 medical frontliners sa mga pribadong ospital ang nakatanggap na ng kanilang SRA mula Enero hanggang Hunyo ngayong taon.
“For the SRA of January to June, we were able to give SRA to 359,501 healthcare workers and this was downloaded to them for the amount of P8 billion,”sabi ni Vega sa isang panayam sa CNN ngayong Martes, Agosto 17.
Gayunpaman, inamin ni Vega na patuloy ang pagkalap ng mga datos kung ilan pang healthcare workers ang tatanggap pa lang ng kanilang SRAs.

“We will try to collate this and seek again another special budget for the SRA of the different healthcare workers who were not given their due,”dagdag ni Vega.
Umapela si Vega sa mga healthcare workers na habaan pa ang pasensya para sa nasabing allowance.
“I am not offering any excuses but….it’s very hard for us to validate [at] the Central Office or certify health care workers directly working in contact with COVID,”sabi ni Vega.
Umapela rin si Vega sa mga manggagawa sa healthsectorna planong makiisa sa mass resignation.
“This is very unfortunate and I guess we all understand that we are all in this pandemic and we have to work as one. We will work and talk to the different heads of these organizations to make sure that they will be able to get— [in] a timely manner—the benefits due to them,”sabi ng opisyal.
