Nasa 90 porsyentong pasyente ng Philippine General Hospital (PGH)-intensive care unit (ICU) na may coronavirus disease (COVID-19) ang hindi bakunado, ayon sa tagapagsalita ng ospital nitong Linggo, Agosto 15.
“Ang nakikita ko, 90 percent pa rin unvaccinated na nasa critical condition, 10 percent vaccinated,” paglalahad ni PGH Spokesperson Dr. Jonas del Rosario sa isang television interview.
“Isang napansin namin, maliban sa vaccination status, malaking bagay 'yung comorbidity mo tsaka 'yung age,” dagdag ni Del Rosario.
Ilan sa mga bakunadong nasa ICU ay may comorbidities o kasalukuyan nang karamdaman kabilang ang diabetes, hypertension, heart, lung o kidney diseases.

“That’s another risk factor that may not be offset by your vaccination status,” sabi ni Del Rosario.
“But having said that, still predominantly those hospitalized at PGH, about 70 percent are unvaccinated," sabi pa ni Del Rosario.
