Itinanggi ngMetropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) nitong Sabado, Agosto 14, ang ulat na hiniling muli ng mga alkalde ng Metro Manila na palawigin muli ang enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) hanggang Agosto 30.
Paglilinaw ni MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos, walang bagong pagpupulong kaugnay sa extension ng ECQ sa Metro Manila.
Sa kumakalat na pekeng ulat, binanggit na nakausap ni Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez si Abalos kaugnay sa usapin.
“The mayors are focused on monitoring the number of COVID-19 cases in their respective jurisdictions, vaccination rollout, and distribution of “ayuda” or financial aid to low-income families affected by the ECQ which will last until August 20,” dagdag ni Abalos.

Anumang mapagkasunduang pasya ng Metro Manila Council (MMC) ay alinsunod sa mga datos, kakayahan ng mga LGUs at mga pag-aaral ng health at economic experts, ayon pa sa opisyal.
