Mananatili ang operasyon ng mga pampublikong transportasyon sa National Capital Region (NCR), kahit na ipinaiiral ang Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
Inanunsyo ito ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) kasabay ng pahayag na aprubado na ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) ang pinakabagong guidelines na pinapayagan na magpatuloy ang pampublikong transportasyon.
Pero paglilinaw ni DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade, limitado lamang sa authorized persons outside residence (APORs) ang mga isasakay sa public transport.
“Restrictions will be applied on passengers. There will be stricter enforcement to ensure that only APORs are permitted to use public transport, as mandated by the IATF,” ayon kay Tugade.

“APORs are reminded to be ready to present transport marshals identification cards issued by the IATF or other documents or IDs as proof that they are authorized to travel,” dagdag pa ni Tugade.
Para sa mga pampublikong sasakyan tulad ng bus at jeep, papayagan ang 50% kapasidad habang mahigpit na ibabawal ang ‘standing passengers’ at para sa mga tricycle, maaari rin itong mag-operate ngunit isa lamang ang pwedeng isakay na pasahero.
Papayagan din ang motorcycle taxi services and Transport Network Vehicle Services (TNVS) operations habang hinihikayat ang paggamit ng active transport, gaya ng mga bisikleta at electric scooters.
Tuloy din ang operasyon ng Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2 (LRT1 and LRT2) at Metro Rail Transit Line 3.
“We are more adamant now, as we reinforce the government initiatives and measures to prevent the spread of the highly-transmissible Dela variant,” giit pa ni Tugade.
