“ECQ in NCR means a shutdown of the physical offices of Comelec in NCR. Voter registration will be effectively suspended in NCR,” ayon kay Comelec Spokesperson James Jimeneznitong Martes, August 3 sa kanyang Twitter account.

“More than 4 million newly eligible voters are already included in the voter rolls, and we have already blown past earlier and lower projections of the total number of voters registered for the 2022 National and Local Elections,” aniya.

“Based on our calendar, after the registration on September 30, the filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) will commence. That will signal the need to finalize the list of voters. That is a long process and if it isn’t started on time, we will run out of time down the line,” dagdag pa niya.
