Karagdagang 17 na kaso ng Delta variant ang na detect sa Pilipinas, ayon sa Department of Health (DOH) nitong Sabado, Hulyo 24.

Sinabi ng DOH na ang 17 na bagong kaso ng Delta variant ay 12 ang lokal na kaso, isang returning overseas Filipino (ROF), habang ang apat na kaso ay bineberipika pa kung ito ay lokal na kaso o ROF.

”Three cases remain active and 14 cases have been tagged as recovered. The outcomes are being validated by our regional and local health offices,”pahayag ng DOH.

“Of the 12 local cases, nine had an indicated address in the National Capital Region and three were in Calabarzon,” dagdag nito.

“Following the announcement of a local transmission of the Delta variant, the DOH emphasized the need to ensure active case finding, aggressive contact tracing, increased risk-based and targeted testing, and the immediate isolation/quarantine of suspect/probable cases and close contacts,” ayon sa DOH.
