Tinututulan ng Filipino Nurses United (FNU) ang panukalang tanggalin ang licensure examinations para sa mga nurse dahil "mapanganib sa kalusugan ng taumbayan" lalo na sa panahon ng pandemya.

“As health professionals who handle (the) health and lives of communities and patients, nurses should have relevant and adequate training that would develop the competencies needed,”ayon sa pahayag ng FNU.

Matatandaang iminungkahi ni Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello IIIang hakbang para sa mga nurse at iba pang propesyonal.

Binigyang-diin ng grupo na sila ang nagbabantay sa kalusugan at buhay ng mga pasyente at sa komunidad hindi katulad ng iba pang propesyon na mga abogado at inhinyero.

“Human error or omission is critical to human safety, prolonging life and survival,”anila.

“People deserve quality health care and should not be compromised with lowering of standards by the government instead of having a political will to provide adequate, well- trained and well- compensated health professionals like nurses,” dagdag pa ng grupo.
