Tumaas pa ang lebel ng pagbuga ng sulfur dioxide ng Taal Volcano nitong Sabado.
Ito ang kinumpirma Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) at sinabing naitala rin nila ang aabot na sa 9,911 tonnes per day na pagbuga nito ng nakalalasong usok, nitong Hunyo 10.
"Because of high levels of S02 aerosol over the western Taal Caldera, residents in three barangays of the Municipality of Agoncillo, Batangas Province -- Banyaga, Bilibinwang, and Subic Ilaya -- have experiences throat irritations and observed dry-out vegetation kill in crops, plants, and trees after a period of rain," ayon sa ahensya.
"The unprecedented high levels of SO2 flux during this period of seismic quiescence warn not only of continued magmatic unrest but also, of direct impacts of volcanic gas on downwind populations and local economies around Taal Lake," dagdag ng Phvolcs.

Babala rin ng Phivolcs, ang sulfur dioxide ay nakasasama sa mata, lalamunan at respiratory tract.
Pinayuhan din ang mga residente sa palibot at malapit sa bulkan na magsuot ng N95 mask, uminom ng sapat na tubig upang mabawasan ang pagsakit ng kanilang lalamunan at manatili na lamang sa loob ng bahay upang hindi malantad sa mapanganib na usok.
Sa kasalukuyan, nasa ilalim pa rin ng Level 2 ang alert status ng bulkan.
