Tatlong modular treatment facilities para sa treatment at management ng mga COVID-19 patients, ang binuksan ng mga opisyal ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at ng Department of Health (DOH) sa Batangas Medical Center (BatMC) sa Batangas City, nabatid kahapon.
“The Department of Health extends its utmost gratitude for the DPWH’s support and assistance in providing facilities to augment our hospital’s need for additional rooms for healthcare service for Covid patients for the province of Batangas,” ayon kay DOH Assistant Secretary Maria Francia M. Laxamana.
Ayon naman kay DPWH Batangas 2nd District Engineer Sonia D. Paglicauan, kasalukuyang pinapalawak ng ahensiya ang kapasidad ng mga major hospitals sa pamamagitan ng konstruksiyon ng mga modular facilities upang makapagdagdag pa ng mga silid para sa treatment at management ng mga taong infected ng COVID-19.
Magpinsang paslit nagkayayaang maligo sa lawa, nalunod
Idinagdag pa niya na ang off-site modular facilities sa BatMC ay naging posible sa pamamagitan ng DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local/National Health Facilities, katuwang ang Batangas 2nd District Engineering Office.
“The DPWH has already completed various modular hospitals for Covid-19 treatment in various DOH specialty and retained hospitals including one (1) ICU type with 16-bed capacity at Lung Center of the Philippines; four (4) typical designed and one (1) ICU type modular hospital at Quezon Institute-Philippine Tuberculosis Society Inc (QI-PTSI), Quezon City with a total of 110-bed capacity; one (1) typical designed modular hospital with 22-bed capacity at Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium (DJNRMHS), Caloocan City and one (1) typical designed with 21 beds and a 10 bed capacity one (1) ICU type modular hospital at Batangas Medical Center, Batangas City,” ani Paglicauan.
Pinasalamatan naman ni DOH-CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas Rizal Quezon) Assistant Secretary Paula Paz M. Sydiongco ang DPWH dahil sa completion ng proyekto.
“This will greatly benefit the hospital as sit will increase its bed-capacity with an additional 10 rooms for intensive care units and 21 rooms for isolation and monitoring of mild Covid symptoms,” aniya.
Nagpapasalamat rin naman si Batangas Medical Center Chief Ramoncito C. Magnaye sa DPWD dahil sa pagpapalawak ng kapasidad ng pagamutan sa pamamagitan nang pagtatayo ng off-site health care facilities para sa paggamot ng mga COVID-19 patients.
“The Covid-19 modular facilities at BatMC will help accommodate possible surge of Covid cases in the province including patients from adjacent provinces of Laguna, Cavite and Quezon,” aniya.
