Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque, ang Pilipinas at United Kingdom ay mayroong matibay na bilateral ties, at nakikidalamhati aniya ang Pilipinas, sa panahon ng pagluluksa ng Britanya.

“The Philippines and the United Kingdom have strong bilateral ties and we share the grief of the British people in this period of bereavement,” saad ni Secretary Roque.
Ayon kay Roque, ipananalangin ng Malacañan ang kapayapaan ng kaluluwa ni Prince Philip, at katatagan para sa Royal Family sa panahon ng pagdadalamhati ng mga ito.
“We pray for the eternal repose of his soul and for The Royal Family to find strength in this time of mourning,” pahayag ni Roque.
Biyernes, April 9, 2021, nang ianunsyo ng Bukingham Palace ang pagpanaw ni Prince Philip sa edad na 99.
