ILALARGA ng National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCAP) ang National Age Group Chess Championships via online ngayong weekend sa isasagawang Marinduque Southern Luzon Leg.
Bukas para sa lahat ng miyembro ng NCFP, ang two-day leg na itinataguyod ng Marinduque, ay tatampukan ng boys and girls Under-16, U18 at premier U20 divisions sa Sabado, habang ang U8, U10, U12 at U14 categories ay isasagawa sa Linggo via Tornelo chess platform at may 10-minute, five-second increment time control.
“The Youth Championships are among the NCFP’s main programs and I am so elated because we are able to still hold these events amid the COVID-19 pandemic,” sambit ni NCFP president and Senior Deputy Speaker Butch Pichay. “I hope these tournament will galvanize the seal of our young chess players.”
Ang mangunguna sa National Age Group ay mapapabilang sa National Team na isasabak sa international competition.
