ITINALAGA ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) sina Arthur “Odjie” Mamon at Dante Alinsunurin bilang coach ng national women’s at men’s volleyball team.
Ipinahayag ni PNVF President Ramon “Tats” Suzara ang pagkakatalaga sa dalawa, gayundin Rhovyl Verayo at Paul John Doloiras para sa men’s at women’s beach volleyball team.
“After careful and stringent deliberation and evaluation, the federation selected coaches Odjie and Dante, both of who brings with them impressive and credible credentials,” pahayag ni Suzara.
Pagtutuunan ng pansin ng mga nasabing coaches ang paghahanda ng bansa para sa Hanoi 31st Southeast Asian Games.
Dito ay sisikapin ng men’s team na makapuwesto ng maganda sa nasabing biennial meet kung saan ay pagsisikapan nilang malampasan ang kanilang silver medal finish noong 2019 SEA Games, habang target ng women’s team ang podium finish. Mismong ang National Team Commission na pinamumunuan ni Tonyboy Liao at ang National Coaches Commission na nasa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Jerry Yee ay ang siyang nagrekumenda sa PNVF board ng kabuuan ng national coaching staff.
Makakatuwang ni Mamon si Grace Antigua at ang dating Ateneo de Manila University coach na si Tai Bundit ng Thailand. Si Alinsunurin, naman sa kabilang banda ay makakatuwang sina Ariel dela Cruz at Sherwin Meneses upang muling imaneobra ang men’s team.
“Our appointed coaches will do whatever it takes to assemble the best ever team in the SEA Games with their vast coaching experience even during this situation,” ayon pa kay Suzara. “So we’re confident Volleyball Philippines is in good hands,” dagdag pa niya.
