Naglabasang statement ang GMANews para linawin na hindi ang site nila ang nag-upload ng fake news na pumanaw si Michael V.

Nakalagay kasi sa fake news na lumabas na galing sa site ng GMANews ang nag-upload ng “BREAKINGNEWS: Batikang Actor na si Michael V. Bitoy, Pumanaw sa edad na 51 Matapos Hindi kayanin ang Sakit sa Atay.”

Nakasaad sa pahayag na: “GMANews wishes to clarify that it did not produce a post saying that Michael V has died. Links of the post, which may be spreading on social medua and messaging apps, makes unauthorized use of the logo of GMANews.

“We also ask people to refrain from sharing the post, which we have reported to social media platforms. We urge people to follow our official account @GMANews on social media channels for the latest news and updates,” paglilinaw ng GMANews.

Nag-react din ang asawa ni Bitoy na si Carol Bunagan sa fake news,’at sabi: “Ano kaya napapala ng mga gumagawa ng ganitong fake news? Kaawaan sana kayo ng Diyos.”

Deadma si Bitoy sa fake news, kaya na-disappoint tiyak ang nag-post ng fake news dahil hindi siya pinansin.
