NAKASENTRO ang ikatlong bahagi ng Philippine Sports Commission’s (PSC) National Sports Summit sa Huwebes sa isyu ng Sports Marketing.
Magiging panauhin bilang tagapagsalita si Prof. Theresa Jazmines ng University of the Philippines. Magbibigay ng kaalaman ang beteranong Public Relation practitioner at sports journalist hingil 4 pangunahing prinsipyo at mga benepisyo ng sports sa sports brand marketing.
Si Jazmines ay isa sa mga unang women sports journalists noong dekada 70, at nagtataglay ng malawak na karanasan pagdating sa public relations at sports writing.
“It is pivotal for sports stakeholders in the country, from the community grassroots level, the national sports associations, and up to the elite professional level to learn the value of sports marketing to forward the development of their own sports,” ani PSC Chairman William Ramirez.
“Sponsors can connect directly with their target markets and create greater awareness for their brands in a rewarding fashion and the officials, teams, athletes - get their desired resources and improve their performances,” pahayag naman ni Jazmines.
Umabot sa halos 1000 participants ang nagrehistro para sa unang sesyon ng National Sports Summit king saan naunananag nagsalita si United States Sports Academy President T.J. Rosandich na tumalakay sa Sports Success from a First World Perspective.
Kasunod nito ay nagbahagi na din ng kanyang ambag si Davao del Norte Sports and Youth Development Head Giovanni Gulanes sa mga programa ng kanilang local government sa sports, habang si Philippine Sports Institute (PSI) Dean Prof. Henry Daut ay nagpahayag naman ng kanyang pananaw para sa Grassroots Sports in the country
