BUNSOD ng ipinapatupad na ‘travel ban’ ng pamahalaan, nagdesisyon ang Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) na kanselahin ang hosting ng FIBA Asia Cup third window sa susunod na buwan sa Clark, Pampanga.

Tatayong host ang bansa sa qualifiers ng Group A (kung saan kabilang ang Gilas Pilipinas) at C sa Pebrero 18-22 sa isang ‘bubble’ tournament setup.

“We were confident we’d be able to host a safeenvironment where world-class basketball players can showcase their skillwithout having to worry about anything else,” pahayag ni SBP President Al Panlilio.

“We’ve exerted a lot of effort into ourhosting of the upcoming FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers and this is why it is with great sadness that we announce it is no longer going to happen,” aniya.
