Nais ni Senator Leila de Lima na imbestigahan ng Senado ang talamak na pagyurak sa ating civil at political rights sa gitna na panahon ng pandemya.
Tinukoy ni de lima sa kanyang Senate Resolution (SR) No. 490, ang ginawang pagkumpiska ng protest materials sa gitna ng misa sa Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene sa Quiapo, Maynila bago ang State of the Nation Address (SONA) noong Hulyo 27.
“This incident is the latest outrage committed by agents of the administration during the quarantine period, following the massacre of army intelligence personnel by policemen in Sulu, and the threatened deportation of an Overseas Filipino Worker in Taiwan who criticized the government on social media,” pagdidiin pa ng senador.
