Habang abala ang ibang personalidad at pribadong sektor sa pagtulong sa health workers ay tila nakalimutan na ang mga manggagawa sa pelikulang Pilipino.

It is a collaborative process that involves close to a hundred people that the public doesn’t see — head crews, grips, set men, carpenters, electricians and utility personnel.“Most of them are below-the-line, daily-earners whose livelihood depend on productions. They’re the most vulnerable sector of the film community and they will be severely affected by the current Covid-19 crisis.“They need our help. The Directors’ Guild of the Philippines in unity with Ang Lupon ng Pilipinong Sinematograpo and The Ricky Lee Scriptwriting Workshop in partnership with the Lockdown Cinema Club is part of a campaign to raise funds for these displaced workers.“All proceeds will go to the database of film workers that industry leaders in Lockdown Cinema Club have collated and validated as the most vulnerable in our film community.“This is a time when our community must come together to ensure that the less fortunate among us do not get left behind.
