LOS ANGELES ( A P ) – Kinumpirma ng Los Angeles Lakers nitong Huwebes (Biyernes sa Manila) na dalawang players sa kanilang ‘active lineup’ ang nagpositibo sa coronavirus (COVID-19).

Isinailalim sa pagsusuri ang lahat ng 14 players ng Lakers nitong Miyerkoles matapos lumabas ang resulta ng pagsusuri ng Brooklyn Nets kung saan apat sa players nila, sa pangunguna ni two-time champion Kevin Durant ang nagposotibo sa naturang virus.

Nagharap ang Lakers at Nets sa Los Angeles nitong Marso 10 sa Staples Center bago naideklara ng NBA ang ‘temporary shutdown’ ng kasalukuyang season.

Sa opisyal na pahayag ng Lakers managemenbt, hindi nila pinangalanan ang naturang players.

“Following four Brooklyn Nets players testing positive for COVID-19, because Los Angeles Lakers’ players were exposed to them during our game against the Nets on March 10, our team physicians and public health officials recommended coronavirus testing for the players.

“We learned today that two Lakers players have tested positive. Both players are currently asymptomatic, in quarantine and under the care of the team’s physician,” ayon sa pahayag ng Lakers.

Nitong Miyerkoles, inamin naman ni Celtics guard Marcus Smart na posi t i b o si y a sa coronavirus.

Sinabi ng Celtics na nakatanggap sila ng ulat hingil sa COVID- 19 results ng kanilang plater, ngunit hindi nila ito pinangalanan.

Subalit sa kanyang Twitter, inamin ni Smart na siya ang naturang player. Iginiit niyang wala siyang naramdamang sintomas bagp nagpatest.

I was tested 5 days ago and the results came back tonight, which were positive. Ive been self quarantined since the test, thank goodness. COVID-19 must be taken w the highest of seriousness. I know it’s a #1 priority for our nations health experts, & we must get more testing ASAP,” ayon kay Smart.
