Gecolea at Philippine Executive Chess Association president Dr. Alfredo “Fred” Paez ay naka kolekta ng 7.5 points mula seven wins, one draw at one loss para magkampeon sa Nine-Round FIDE Standard Round Robin Chess tournament.
Ang grade 8 pupil ng Pulo National High School, Cabuyao City, Laguna na si Marticio ay nagtala ng panalo kontra kina Precious Nicole Lasin sa first round, Vincent Paul Francisco sa second round, Christian Peter Aristorenas sa third round, Jeremiah Luis Cruz sa fourth round, Kaye Lalaine Regidor sa sixth round, Jersey Marticio sa eight round at Elijah Gabriel Santiago sa ninth at final round.
Nauwi sa tabla ang laro niya kay Rigil Kent Rosell Pahamtang sa seventh round at natalo kay Eowyn Jullado sa fifth round.
