Bibigyan na ng pagkakataon ang mga atletang Pinoy na makakuha ng Civil Service eligibility batay na rin sa kani-kanilang panalo.

Ang nasabing hakbang ay pinaplantsa pa ng opisyal ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at Civil Service Commission (CSC).

Kahapon, bumisita si CSC Commissioner Aileen Lizada sa

Rizal Memorial Sports Complex kung saan nakipagpulong sa mga opisyal ng PSC kaugnay ng posibilidad na pagkalooban ng eligibility ang mga national athlete na may podium finishes sa mga sinalihang international competitions na kinikilala ng PSC.

“With the success of ournational athletes in recent competitions, we wanted to honor their achievementsand legacy with plans on issuing special eligibility, which will help them intheir future endeavours as Filipino citizens,” paglalahad ni Lizada.

“We thank the CSC for thisinitiative in supporting our national athletes. This future development willnot only recognize their success, but will also help them as they serve thecountry through sports, may it be in local government units and the nationalgovernment,” tugon naman ni PSC chairman William Ramirez.

Ipinaliwanag ni Ramirez na nakabatay na lamang ito sa umiiral na mga patakarang nakasaad sa Republic Act No. 6847 o ang PSC Act at Republic Act No. 2260 (Civil Service Act of 1959).

“The terms and conditionsof the agreement are yet to be determined, but we are positive that with speciallaws and issuance policies from the CSC, our athletes will be granted of eligibility,” pagdidiin ni Ramirez.
