MAGIGING punong-abala ang Dumaguete, tanyag bilang “City of Gentle People”, sa gaganaping Mano-Mano: Battle of the Strikers mixed martial arts competition ngayon sa Quezon Park.

Magpapakitang gilas ang mga sikat na muay thai champions sa 15 action-packed at bone-crushing rounds na itinataguyod ng DTC Events sa pakikipagtulungan ng Dumaguete City government kasama ang Bethel Guest House, iConcepts prints and advertising at TACTIC Fitness Gears.

Mismong si Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Remollo ang nagbigay ng basbas sa mga organizers at kalahok sa pinakamalaking mixed martial arts competition na idaraos sa capital city ng Negros Oriental.

“The local government of Dumaguete fully supports MMA as a friendly and entertaining sport. Muay thai ia a good self-defense. It also promotes respect and discipline,” pahayag ni Mayor Remollo.

Pinasalamatan din ni Mayor Remollo si DTC Events president Ed Dames at iba pang mga miyembro ng organizing committee at sponsors sa pagdadala ng MMA sa Dumaguete.

“Through this “Mano-Mano: Battle of the Strikers”,we hope to draw the interest and attention of the people to the sport of MMA,” sambit ni Remollo.

Tatampukan ito nina John “Punisher” Vallega ng Dumaguete at Anthony Seismundo ng Bohol, na magsasagupa sa featherweight match ng blockbuster card simula 5 p.m.

Ang 21-anyos na si Vallega ang pambato ng Pamplona mula Camp Vallega, at may 8-0 record, samantalang si Seismundo, 24, mula sa Ripped City Gym-Bohol, ay may 3-1 card.

Sa co-main event, nagtutuos sina super flyweight champion Janito “Optimus Prime” Blanca ng Leyte at Richard Calaveras ng Bacolod.

Tatayong host ng event si Abi Paco.
