MULING humirit sa international scene ang Philippine team SAG-1 sa impresibong kampanya sa 4th Guam Thanksgiving Day Dragon Boat Festival nitong weekend sa Guam.

Ginapi ng Pinoy paddlers ang mga karibal mula sa Guam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, at Taiwan.

Winalis ng Filipino club crew ang anim na gintong medalya na nilahukan sa 200 at 400-meter para tanghaling overall champion.

Sa In the women’s 200- and 400-meter small boat (12-seater) categories, naitala ng SAG-1 paddlers ang tyempong dalawang minuto at 25 segundo.

Ginapi rin ng Philippine SAG-1 Dragon Boat Team ang mga karibal sa 200- and 400-meter distances in the women’s small boat (12-seater), mixed standard boat (22-seater), at open small boat (12-seater) events.

“We were overwhelmed with the results, but I also believe that the two months of hard training by the team led us to victory,” pahayag ni SAG-1 Dragon Boat Team Captain Michael Lara.

“We are not just a club team once we join an international event. Every stroke of our paddles is dedicated to the Philippines. We are grateful to represent our country in international competitions such as this one,” aniya.
