PAKAY ni Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados na makuha ang back-to-back win sa 2019 Miss Universe pageant. Pagbabahagi ng dalaga sa pag-alis nito kahapon, Nov. 26, patungo ng Atlanta, Georgia sa US para sa most prestigious beauty contest.
Libu-libong supporters ng beauty queens ang nagwagayway ng maliliit na bandila ng Pilipinas sa pagsalubong nila kay Gazini sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Nakipag-meet din ang beauty queen sa kanyang mga mentors pageant experts kabilang sina Jonas Gaffud, Rodgil Flores, at mga staff members ng Binibining Pilipinas.
“What I what to share about the Philippines is how heartwarming we are when we really get to know one another. And there’s a deeper sense of knowing what the Philippines is all about. The best thing can describe it - paradise,” pagbabahagi ni Gazini, nang matanong kung anong magandang balita ang maibabahagi niya sa mundo tungkol sa Pilipinas.
Dagdag pa nito: “We have lechon festival in Talisay (Cebu). My float was actually made up of lechon. We were literally giving free lechon on the day of my homecoming. So the next homecoming that I would have, now conditioning it, I will be giving away free lechon in Manila.”
Hangad ng kandidata na makuha ang back-to-back victory sa international pageant. Kasalukuyang reigning Miss Universe si Catriona Gray na mula sa Pilipinas.
Nasa 92 kandidata ang inaasahang maglalaban sa 2019 Miss Universe pageant na idaraos sa Tyler Perry Studios sa Atlanta, Georgia, US ngayong Disyembre. 8.
Noong Mayo, una nang sinabi ng beauty queen mula Talisay City, Cebu na iniaalay niya ang kanyang pageant sa 68th Miss Universe pageant sa kanyang ama.
“This is quite sentimental to me but I want to go to Palestine because I never met my father,” ani Gazini sa isang exclusive interview.
Dagdag pa ng Filipino-Palestinian queen: “I don’t know if he is still alive. I’m hoping for the best. He’s a Palestinian. I just wanna go there and try to look for him.”
“I heard a lot of good stories about Palestines. They have good food. Who knows? I would bump into him.”
Ano ang una niya gagawin kapag nakita na niya ang kanyang ama?
“I would give him a hug. I would thank him for the genes because without him, I wouldn’t be here.”
“I’d be joyful. That would be the happiest day of my life,” pagbabahagi ni Gazini, na lumaki sa kanyang grandparents.
Isang pageant veteran, tourism graduate from si Gazini ng University of San Jose-Recoletos sa Cebu City.
“I will do my best and I will fulfill the things that I need to do and that I am working hard,” she said.
