SINIGURO ng mga batang swimmers ng Behrouz Elite Swimming Team-Philippines (BEST-Philippines) na babalik ang koponan sa bansa na may dangal at bagong karanasan sa impresibong kampanya sa 2019 HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Cup-21st Invitational Swim Meet nitong Sabado sa Royal Bangkok Sports Club sa Bangkok, Thailand.

Humirit ng pitong gintong medalya ang BEST-Philippines, sa pangunguna ni Peter Cyrus Dean na pambato ng Quzo Killer Whales, sa napagwagihang freestyle event sa boys’ 11-12 100m freestyle.
Naisumite ni Dean ang isang minuto at 3.87 segundo para higitan si Chan Yi Yuan ng China (1:04.18) at Yao Lize ng Singapore (1:04.84).
“It’s a good start for us. It’s just the morning session of the competition and we’re hoping to win more me¬dals in the afternoon session and in the second day of the tournament,” pahayag ni BEST-Philippines head coach Virgie De Luna.
Kasama rin sa delegasyon nabinubuo ng 36 batang swimmers na produkto ng ‘grassroots sports program’ ng BEST Philippines at Swim Pinas, sina delegation head Marilet Basa, as¬sistant coaches Elaire Babiera, Romulo Sanchez at Ross¬benar Antay.
Humirit din sina Christ Jade Andal, Amina Isa¬belle Mondonedo, Lance Arcel Lotino at Ivan Nicholas Radovan na sumisid ng tig-iisang pilak sa kani-kanilang dibisyon sa torneong nilahukan ng may 800 tankers mula sa 30 foreign teams.
Pumangalawa si Andal sa 100m freestyle sa kanyang 58.87 segundo sa boys’ 15-over na pinagharian ni Enzo Izak Ben Malayang (57.46) ng Malaysia.
May pilak din sina Mondonedo (girls’ 11-12 50m breaststroke), Lotino (boys’ 15-over 100m butterfly (1:04.82) at Radovan (boys’ 13-14 100m butterfly).
Sasabak din sina BEST-Philippines ace tan¬kers Mohammad Behrouz Mojdeh ng Parañaque at Ju¬lia Basa ng Mariveles, Ba¬taan at kagrupo sa Swimming Pinas na sina Ivan Radovan at Lance Lo¬tino.
