Nakamit ng Begang National High School ang tropeo at karapatan na makalaro sa Mindanao Qualifier kung saan nakataya ang dalawang slots para sa Mindanao sa gaganaping National Finals sa Manila. Ang tatanghaling national champion ay ipadadala sa Singapore para sumabak sa torneo laban sa Singaporean High School teams.

Mistulang piesta ang pagsasagawa ng torneo na sinimulan sa masayang motorcade ngmga kalahok na koponan, kasama angmga opisyal ng PVF, sa pangunguna nina Secretary General Gerard Cantada at Managing Director Otie Camangian.

Masaya rin nagsalo-salo sa ‘boodle fight’ ang lahat na kaloob ni City Mayor, Madame Sitti Djalia Turabin Hataman. Nauna nang nagbigay ng courtesy call ang PVF, kasama si Director for BasilanDr. Arnel Hajan kay Governor Jim Hataman Salliman.
