Tiniyakkahapon ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) na magpapatuloy ang trabaho ng ahensiua sa ilalim ng Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) kahit nakumpleto na ang pagpoproseso sa land acquisition at distribution sa buong bansa.
“Gusto ng Pangulo na ibigay ang lupa sa mga magsasaka. Ano ang mangyayari pagkatapos ng mga kautusan ni President Duterte? Tapos na ba ang DAR o CARP?” tanong ni DAR Undersecretary for Legal Affairs Luis Meinrado Pañgulayan.
“Only the process will be completed but ang mga usapin ay magpapatuloy sa technical issues, legal cases and provision of support services, (that is why) we need the participation of CIAs (CARP-implementing agencies),” punto niua.
Isa sa mga target ng kasalukuyang administrasyon ay ang makumpleto ang pamamahagi ng agricultural lands sa mga magsasakang walang lupa bago matapos ang termino ni Pangulong Duterte o sa 2022.
Pinangunahan ng Presidential Agrarian Reform Council (PARC) Secretariat nitong Huwebes ang four-day assessment ng performance ng CIAs para sa 2018 hanggang sa first semester ng 2019, para i-update sila sa implementasyon at delivery ng kanilang targeted programs kaugnay sa kanilang individual work at financial plans para sa parehong panahon.
“This provides an opportunity for the CIAs to address operational issues and other challenges encountered in the implementation of their respective mandates under the CARP,” ani Pañgulayan, na nagsisilbi ring PARC Council Secretary.
Nakilahok sa assessment ng CARP performance ang mga opisyal ng DAR, PARC Secretariat at mga tauhan, at ang CIAs na kinabibilangan ng Land Bank of the Philippines, Departments of Trade and Industry, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, National Irrigation Administration, at ang Land Registration Administration.
