Walang itinatakdang limitasyon si April May Short, ang official representative ng bansa sa World Top Model competition sa Monaco sa Disyembre 14, para makilala sa fashion world.
“For now I am not setting any limitations as a model because I am just starting,” ani Short, sa press send-off sa CWC Bonifacio Global City sa Taguig City nitong Miyerkules ng gabi.
“If given the chance to do some high-fashion shoots in Monte Carlo, I’ll do it,” sinabi ng model from Zamboanga City.
Sa thin line between modelling and pageantry, sinabi ni Short na marami siyang natutunan bilang fashion model habang nagsasanay sa Professional Models Association of the Philippines.
“I started my pageant journey this year. Now I can give my strength in modeling. Modeling is more on how you carry the dress, more on designers,” ani Short.
Si Rocha ay isang Canadian model na kilala bilang isa sa unang “digital” supermodels, and became popular for her advocacy for younger models. “I really love the shoots.”
Nang tanungin tungkol sa kany sinabi ni Short na: “I set limitations in my diet. I only eat rice meal for lunch. Then lots of fruits and vegetables. It takes a lot of discipline to do it. Then I go to gym three times a week. I really need to do it for myself.”
Sinabi ni Fiori Tondi, president ng World Top Model competition, said: “This year we introduce the “World Top Model Award” Award of Merit in Beauty: a prize to be awarded to professionals that have performed an outstanding service to the Modeling profession and the Fashion industry – agencies, photographers, make-up artists, advertisers, hair stylists, fashion designers, media, etc.
