Ang two-day Fide rated standard event ay nagsilbing punong abala ang Gordon College na suportado ni mayor  Atty. Rolen Paulino Jr. sa pakikipagtulungan nina Olongapo City councilor Kaye Ann Legaspi, City Sports and Youth Development Office, Olongapo City , OIC, David B.Bayarong, CSWDO Jhun Pascua at China based Joel Pineda na pinangasiwaan naman nina Fide arbiter Reden Cruz at national arbiter Joel Villanueva ng  Chess Arbiter Union of the Philippines.
