NADISKARIL ang niluluto ni Golden Boy Promotions big boss Oscar dela Hoya nang kumalaw ang a;aging si Ryan Garcia na nais sana niyang ilaban kay Filipino boxer Romero Duno sa Setyembre 14 sa Las Vegas, Nevada sa United States.

“To all my fans, yes I was supposed to fight Romero Duno in September,” sabi ni Garcia sa kanyang Twitter account. “I decided to not go with that because I wanted to fight him as main event in November and not be some co-main event on a card that will be driven by me.”

Inami n n i Garci a na kakasahan na lamang niya ang tinalo ni Duno na si Mexican Juan Antonio Rodriguez bago kasahan ang Pinoy boxer.

“I also elected to fight the guy that gave Duno problems (Juan Antonio Rodriguez, who dropped a close decision to Duno in May) for September,” dagdag ni Garcia. “The bottom line is I deserve the right promotion for fights with the full time to promote and not be thrown into a fight and have myself do the whole promotion. Knowing my fan base, they will tune in no matter what but I deserve to have a full promotion fight with Duno!”

May perpektong rekord si Garcia 18 panalo, 15 sa knockouts at nakalistang No. 5 at No. 12 sa lightweight division kumpara kay Duno na may kartadang 20 panalo, 1 talo na may 15 pagwawagi sa knockouts at nakatalang No. 10 sa WBO lightweight rankings.
