Ang13-time Philippine Open champion ay nakakolekta ng limang puntos at dalawang tabla para magkampeon sa seven-round tournament na nilahukan ng 68 players sa event na suportado nina Ms. China Aurelio, Mr. John Gomez at Mr. Popo Martinez ng Open Kitchen, Mr. Jeffrey Dimalanta, Barangay Kaunlaran chairman Christopher “Dong” Cheng, International Master (IM) Joel Banawa ng Rising Phoenix Chess Academy, Ms. Emz Forrosuelo ng Otsuka-Solar Philippines Inc. (Pocari Sweat), Mega C, engr. Antonio “Tony” Carreon Balinas, ChiliJuan at Mayor Dental Clinic.
