Matikas na nakihamok ang Philippine Blu Girls sa liyamadong Peru para maitakas ang 2-1 panalo at makapasok sa winners column sa USA Softball International Cup sa South Commons Softball Complex sa Columbus, Georgia, USA.
“I never doubted that a win will be coming. That close victory over Peru showed that the Blu Girls have been learning from their previous losses and are applying what they have learned. The need now is for the girls to be more consistent as we prepare for the qualifying tournament for the 2020 Olympics,” pahayag ni Amateur Softball Association in the Philippines (ASAPHIL) president Jean Henri Lhuillier.

Naunang nakabasag ang Cebuana Lhuillier-sponsored RP squad at matikas na nasustinahan ang momentum para sa unang panalo sa prestihiyosong torneo.
Bilang sportsman, isa ang softball sa ilang sports na sinusuportahan ni Lhuillier, President/CEO ng Cebuana Lhuillier.
Matapos makatabla ang Peru, humirit ang Blu Girls sa fourth inning, sa pangunguna ni pitcher Royevel Palma.
Nalimitahan ni Palma ang karibal sa apat na hits, zero runs at nagawang ma-strike out ang limang nakaharap na batters.
