Kinasuhan ngayong Biyernes ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ang Chinese na si Xu Zhi Jian, kilala rin na Jacky Co, at 16 na iba pa sa umano’y pagkakasangkot sa importation ng shabu, na nagkakahalaga ng P1.8 bilyon.

Bukod kay Xu, kinasuhan sina Dong An Dong, Julie Hao Gamboa, Fe Tamayosa, Alvin Bautista, Jane Abello Castillo, Carlo Dale T. Zueta, Abraham G. Torecampo, Arwin P. Caparros, Leonardo S. Sucaldito, at sina Mark Leo D. Magpayo, Brian Pabilona, Meldy Sayson, Rhea Tolosa, Edgardo Dominado, Jerry Siguenza, at Debbie Joy Aceron.

Ayon kay PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino, ang "charges were filed in violation of Section 4 (Importation of Dangerous Drugs), in relation to Section 31 (Additional Penalty if Offender is an Alien) of RA No. 9165, The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as amended by RA No. 10640, Section 4, in relation to Section 30 (Criminal Liability of Officers of Partnerships, Corporations, Associations or other Juridical Entities) of RA No. 9165 as amended by RA No. 10640 against the officers and directors of Wealth Lotus Empire Corporation and Fortuneyield Cargo Services."

Nitong Marso 22, 2019, umaksiyon ang pinagsanib na operatiba ng PDEA, RO-NCR, PDEA Seaport Interdiction Unit, PDEA Intelligence and Investigation Service, PDEA Special Enforcement Service - K9 Unit, PDEA Region IV-A, PDEA International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Service, Bureau of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service, Customs Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force, MICP-Office of the District Collector, Philippine Coast Guard at CGSOF TASK Force Aduana, sa tip ng kani-kanilang counterpart mula Vietnam, at nagsagawa ng operasyon sa Manila International Container Port – Container Freight Station 3 (MICP-CFS3).

Nakumpiska sa operasyon ang 276,344.82 gramo ng shabu, na itinago sa sako ng plastic resin, na nagkakahalaga ng P1,876,800,000.

Ayon sa mga operatiba, ang consignee ng naturang ilegal na droga ay ang Wealth Lotus Empire Corporation sa Unit 305A Consuelo Building No. 929 Nicanor Reyes Street, Barangay 395, Sampaloc, Maynila; at Fortuneyield Cargo Services Corporation sa Unit 888 Ground Floor B, The Centennial Building, 375 Escolta St., Binondo, Maynila.

Sa masusing imbestigasyon ng PDEA RO-NCR, ang mga droga ay itinago sa plastic resins, sa pagbabakasakali na makalusot.

"Documents and affidavits would show that the acts committed by the respondents have a vital connection to the chain of conspiracy, that without such acts, the unlawful importation would be unsuccessful," sabi ni Aquino.

"Filing the appropriate charges will serve as a warning to those individuals, especially to government employees, who extend assistance in drug trafficking," dagdag niya.
