Umaasa si Eric “The Natural” Kelly na magkaroon ng double celebration ang pamilya nila kapag bumalik ang ONE Championship dito sa Manila, Mall of Asia Arena para sa ONE: ROOTS OF HONOR ngayong Biyernes, Abril 12.
Makakaharap ni Kelly si “Pretty Boy” Kwon Won Il habang ang nakababatang kapatid naman niyang si Edward ay makakatapat ang South Korean grappler na si Sung Jong Lee sa undercard.
Kahit hindi sila sabay mag-training ay natutuwa pa rin si Eric sa sandaling oras na makakasama niya ang kapatid.
“It’s exciting because we’re fighting on the same card,” sabi niya. “Sometimes we train together, but not all the time because it’s very rare that I visit him.”

Isang “lone wolf” ang tingin ni Eric sa kanyang sarili pagdating sa training. Mas pinili niyang magpalipat lipat ng gym para maghanda sa kanyang laban. Si Edward naman ay kasama ang Team Lakay sa Baguio City.
“I am very happy for Edward because he’s with Team Lakay, the strongest stable in the country when it comes to the sport of mixed martial arts,” sabi ni Kelly.
“Edward will do whatever he can, and he’ll do his best to make sure that he delivers.”
Magkakaroon ng tsansa ang “The Natural” laban kay Kwon matapos matalo laban kay Masakazu Imanari noong Pebrero.
“I’m just happy for the opportunity given to me to perform in my home country. There’s pressure and uncertainty in this match because it’s in front of my kababayans,” sabi niya.
“Right now, there is no bigger match for me than Kwon. I am in the middle of a bad losing streak, and that’s why this match is of tantamount importance. I will do everything to finally get that .”
