Hindi lang talaga nakatadhana ang panalo para sa Filipina warrior Jomary Torres.

Sa pag-asang mahihinto na ang dalawang magkasunod niyang talo ay nasundan pa ito ng pangatlo nang napasuko siya ni Lin Heqin ng China sa ONE: REIGN OF VALOR noong Biyernes, Marso 8.

Torres looked confident early on, but she got caught by a slick triangle choke by her Chinese foe after over-committing on her advances.

Malaki ang tiwala ni Torres sa sarili bago ang laban pero nadali siya ng triangle choke ng Heqin na nagpatalo sa kanya

“The loss might be a bitter pill for me to take, but I am sure that I will learn many things from it," sabi niya.

“After this, I have no choice but to train hard so in the next bouts I’ll have a chance to win. Now, there’s a lot of things on my mind and that’s why I wasn’t really focused. But that’s not an excuse, I need to refocus.”

Hindi matatapos ang mga bagong matutunan para kay Torres at ang pagkatalo niyang ito ay nagbukas lalo ng kanyang mga mata sa mga kailangan niyang mapabuti sa kanyang sarili.

“I’m still gonna train hard. I know that I still have a lot of shortcomings in all of it, striking, grappling and jiu-jitsu. The loss once again showed me the things that I need to work on moving forward,” pahayag niya.

“I trained almost every day to improve. I’ll take this loss as a big lesson. I'm confident that I’ll come back stronger after this.”

"I know I still have a great career ahead of me," sabi niya. "The loss will only make me a better competitor moving forward."
