TIWALA ang isang opisyal ng Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) na raratipikahan ng Basilan ang Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) sa plebisito na gaganapin sa Enero 21.
Nagpahayag ng positibong pananaw si ARMM Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman kaugnay ng BOL sa Isabela City, Basilan sa ginanap na Interfaith Dialogue, kamakailan.
Gayunman, ang lungsod na kabisera ng probinsiya ay hindi bahagi ng ARMM ngunit nakalista sa BOL sa lilikhain nitong Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) kung pumabor ang moyorya ng botante.
Sa kasalukbuyan, bahagi ang Isabela City ng Zamboanga Peninsula Region.
Kailangan mong bumoto
“I urge the people of Isabela to vote “Yes” so as not to be left behind in the future development of Basilan. The BOL will provide much more funds to the autonomous region than ARMM had enjoyed, and Isabela’s economy will benefit more than if it will remain in the Zamboanga region, he said in a radio interview during the interfaith dialogue.
“It will not look good for Isabela to continue to stay out of the autonomous region,” aniya.
Si Hataman ay residente ng Basilan at kasalukuyang tumatakbo bilang gobernador sa nakatakdang mid-term election.
“This dialogue is concentrating on Isabela with the aim of correcting the misperceptions of its residents especially the Christians about the BOL,” dagdag ni Hataman, sa isang panayam sa Radio Mindanao Network.
Ayon kay Hataman, maraming Kristiyanong komunidad sa nalalabing bahagi ng Basilan ang napasailalim sa ARMM at wala sa mga ito ang nasangkot sa diskriminasyon o opresyon.
Nakatutok ang interfaith dialogue, na ginanap sa Basilan National High School gymnasium, sa pagbabahagi ng impormasyon sa Isabela.
Bukod kay Hataman, dinaluhan din ng ang dayalogo ng bagong talagang Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Ret. Lt. Gen. Carlito Galvez, Jr.; Cardinal Orlando Quevedo, Archbishop Emeritus of Cotabato; Mohagher Iqbal, pinuno ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front Implementing Peace Panel; Bagsamoro Transition Commissioner Susana Anayati; at Dr. Aboulkhair Tarason, Chairman ng Basilan Ulama Supreme Council.
Sinabi ni Galvez sa linu-libong dumalo sa talakayan na ang BOL ay “culmination of our efforts to give our Moro brothers and sisters the opportunity to take ownership of the landmark measure and finally achieve our dream of genuine and meaningful self-governance.”
Noong D i s y e m b r e 2 1 , nagkasundo ang Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) at Commission on Elections (Comelec) at ang Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) para sa pagsasagawa ng isang information campaign sa plebisito.
Kabilang sa lumagda sa MOA sina BTC Chairman Ghazali Jaafar, Peace Secretary Galvez at Commissioner Al A. Parreño, commissioner-in-charge of the Committee on the Bangsamoro Plebiscite.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni MILF chairman Al Haj Murad Ebrahim na magsisimula ang information drive period sa Disyembre 7 at magtatapos sa Enero 19, o dalawang araw bago ang plebesito.
“A vote for Yes will be for justice, peace, and progress while a vote for No will be a vote for uncertainty,” aniya.
Hinikayat din ng pinuno ng MILF ang lahat “[to] discern and exercise wisdom to make the right decision. The BOL is not an ordinary piece of legislation. . .It is a good law which we can use to start establishing a good place for our peoples to live in, free from fear, hunger and oppression”.
