Ibabalik sa P9 ang minimum na pasahe sa mga public utility jeepneys (PUJs) ngayong Disyembre.

Ito ang kinumpirma kahapon ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) matapos na ilabas ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang Board Resolution No. 091, Series of 2018 kahapon ng hapon.

Alinsunod sa naturang resolusyon, na pinirmahan kahapon ng hapon ni LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra, at nina Board Members Engr. Ronaldo Corpus at Atty. Aileen Lourdes Lizada, ibinabalik sa P9 ang minimum fare sa passenger jeepneys sa Regions 3, 4A at National Capital Region (NCR) para sa unang apat na kilometro ng biyahe.

Nauna rito, ipinag-utos ni Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade sa LTFRB ang pagro-rollback sa pasahe sa mga pampasaherong jeepney kasunod ng lingguhang big-time rollback sa mga produktong petrolyo sa bansa sa nakalipas na dalawang buwan.

“The Board hereby resolves, as it is hereby resolved to ORDER a Provisional Rollback of PUJ Minimum Fare to P9.00 for the first four kilometers for Regions 3, 4 and NCR,” saad naman sa resolusyon.

“This provisional rollback of PUJ fare rate is without prejudice to the letter request dated 23 October 2018 addressed to the Board and received on the same day, seeking to review the decision of the Board dated 18 October 2018,” bahagi pa ng resolusyon.

Ayon pa sa resolusyon, magiging epektibo ang naturang rollback sa pasahe sa lalong madaling panahon matapos na mailathala ang kautusan sa mga pahayagan.
