ISA na namang karangalan ang natanggap ng Umagang Kay Ganda anchor na si Gretchen Ho matapos niyang mapili ng US Embassy in the Philippines para maging kinatawan ng bansa sa International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) ngayong taon. Ito ang premier professional exchange program ng US State Department.

Nang kapanayamin si Gretchen ay ipinaliwanag niya ang proseso ng pagkakapili sa kanya.

“I was nominated by the US Embassy Manila and selected by the US State Department. I’m here as the rep of the PH together with 49 other countries,” aniya sa panayam ng PUSH.

Sa 3-week program, pupunta si Gretchen sa apat na lungsod sa US, bilang bahagi ng programa – sa Washington DC, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Santa Fe, New Mexico at Tampa, Florida.

Ayon sa US Embassy in the Philippines, Gretchen and the other participants “will assess the impact of social media, citizen journalism, and alternative forms of reporting, and examine strategies that support responsible and ethical reporting in an increasingly complex information environment.”
