“The suspension orders with respect to the mayors were recalled because there is a need to further study or for Congress to revisit the law on solid waste management,” pahayag ni Martires, kahapon.

“I don’t want to rely on my own studies, but I saw that the law is economically not feasible to be implemented especially by fifth and sixth class municipalities,” dagdag nito.

“If this happens, baka wala nang matirang mayor or vice mayor sa mga fifth class and sixth class municipalities dahil sa kawalan ng pera to close an open dumpsite,” aniya.

Binawi ni Martires ang suspensiyon nina Tabaco City, Albay Mayor Cielo Krisel Lagman-Luistro, Vice Mayor Nestor Tabinas San Pablo, at siyam na iba pa; Polangui, Albay Mayor Cherilie Sampal at apat na bokal; Trece Martires City, Cavite Mayor Melandres Granado De Sagun, at 11 iba pa.

Pinawalang-bisa na rin ang suspensiyon sa yumaong si Daraga, Albay Mayor Gerry Jaucian at limang iba pa; Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya Mayor Flaviano Dizon Balgos Jr.; limang bokal at isa pang opisyal ng Kawit, Cavite; Silang, Cavite Mayor Emilia Lourdes Poblete, at walong iba pa; tatlong bokal at environment officer ng Paombong, Bulacan.

Hindi na rin sususpendihin sina Abucay, Bataan Mayor Ma. Kristine Dela Fuenta, at apat na bokal; Rizal, Palawan Mayor Norman Ong, at dalawa pang opisyal; at Bato, Leyte Mayor Nathaniel Gertos, Vice Mayor Roderick Rances, at pito pang opisyal.
