“We extend our heartfelt thanks to FIBA for allowing our very own Greg Slaughter to play for our national team in the World Cup Asian qualifiers without restriction,” pahayag ni Angara.

“We also express our gratitude to Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) for all its efforts in convincing FIBA to make Slaughter eligible to play for Team Pilipinas. I share the country’s excitement to see Slaughter play with the rest of our national team players starting next week in Iran. A seven footer is a seven footer. He is certainly a welcome addition to the team. This development will further strengthen the roster of Team Pilipinas and uplift the morale of our basketball players to fight with their hearts,” pahayag ni Angara.
