Lubhang dismayado ang milyong consumer ng Meralco dahil sa sobrang taas ng singil sa kuryente, ayon sa isang survey.
Batay sa survey ng Pulse Asia, na iniulat ni Dr. Ana Tabunda, 84 porsiyento sa Metro Manila ang nasasaktan sa mataas na singil ng Meralco, habang 66 porsiyento naman sa pangkalahatan ang dismayado.
“On top of Meralco’s monopoly of the power distribution in the Greater Manila Area, Meralco and its co-owned generation companies are hell-bent in pursuing the approval of their power supply agreements which will add another 3.5 GW of dirty and expensive coal,” ayon kay Sanlakas Secretary General Atty. Aaron Pedrosa.
Ipinunto pa ni Pedrosa na 82 porsiyento ang pabor sa panibagong electric service provider o electric utility.
