Inilunsad ng overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) ang information caravan at membership promotion campaign nito sa isang shopping mall sa Pasay City, kahapon.

Sinimulan ang “Kat-OWWA-an OFW Caravan 2018”, na pinangasiwaan mismo ni Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III at dinaluhan ng mga overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) at kanilang pamilya, sa ganap na 3:00 ng hapon hanggang 6:00 ng gabi.

Naging katuwang ng OWWA ang mga pribadong sektor, kabilang ang Coca-Cola, ABS-CBN Bantay Bata 163, BDO at Facebook ,na umaayuda sa pagpapaangat sa katayuan ng OFWs sa pamamagitan ng promosyon o pagsusulong ng entrepreneurship, child protection, savings and investment, at digital literacy.

“Being a membership institution for OFWs, this caravan aims to intensity the awareness of stakeholders on the various programs and services of OWWA that will benefit the OFWs and their families once they become members of the welfare agency,” pahayag ni OWWA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac.

Lilihis ang caravan sa tradisyunal at conventional approach na lectures at booths, kaya gagamitan ito ng pinaghalong information, interaction at entertainment upang ipakilala ang mga programa at serbisyo ng OWWA.
