âEveryone is focused on pushing Asian boxers, specifically from the Belt & Road countries (China ...... & the Philippines), towards global domination of the popular sport. The fights will be run under the Rules & Regulations Governing Professional Boxing sanctioned & agreed upon by the GAB and the IBF,â pahayag ni Mitra, dating Palawan Congressman at Governor.
âA type of home and away format will be adopted to sharpen boxersâ versatility to fight skillful opponents in diverse environments. The physical demands of training & fighting in extremely different climatic conditions and altitudes than home soil will toughen up our boxers.â
âFans will love the regular friendlies & championships to be held in both countries. They will enjoy fights by international fighters right in their countries. We know how fans are though. A great number would surely travel to support their countrymen fighting abroad,â aniya.
âIf we continue the momentum expected to be generated by this tripartite agreement, boxing matches will once again empty the streets, even stop traffic and crime. All parties will work towards making China and the Philippines the home of boxing greats thru this agreement,â pahayag ni Mitra.
