FRANCE ( AFP) – Ipinahayag ng French pharmaceuticals group na Sanofi nitong Lunes ng gabi ang agarang pagpapatigil sa produksiyon sa isang chemical factory nito sa timog kanluran ng France, sa harap ng mga ulat ng media na lumagpas sa normal ang toxic waste emissions nito.
“Sanofi Chemical has decided from today to stop production at its Mourenx site and to carry out the announced technical improvements needed to return to normal,” saad sa pahayag grupo.
Idinagdag na nagsasagawa ito ng internal inquiry “to better understand the causes and history of the situation.”
Iginiit ng kumpanya na hindi na-expose ang mga residente sa lugar sa antas na mas mataas kaysa nasa regulasyon.
