Pinagtibay ng Kamara ang House Bill 7544 na idinedeklarang “National Bible Day” ang huling Lunes ng Enero bawat taon.

Layunin ng panukala na tawagan ang lahat ng Kristiyano sa Pilipinas na magkaisa at ipagdiwang ang Bibliya bilang “cradle of Christian faith during the special working holiday.”

“As a predominantly Christian nation, the bill recognizes the value of the Holy Bible being the core of Christian faith and the foundation of spiritual, moral and social fiber as it forms and transforms the lives of people across generations,” ayon kay Rep. Rogelio Pacquiao, kapatid ni Senator Manny Pacquiao.
