Binigyan ng clearance ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas ang mga eroplano ng Chinese government na makalapag at mag-refuel sa bansa, ayon sa isang opisyal ng Palasyo.

Kinumpirma ng assistant ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na si Christopher Go na ang banyagang eroplano ay pinayagang mag-technical stop kaakibat ang ilang mga kondisyon.

“There are reports from social media showing Chinese government plane landing in the Philippines. The request for landing was received, processed and cleared by relevant Philippine Government agencies,” saad sa pahayag ni Go.

“The landing was requested for the specific purpose of refuelling and was granted and given with specific conditions for compliance by the requesting party,” dugtong niya.

Naglabas ng pahayag si Go matapos kumalat sa social media ang mga litrato ng isang Chinese military plane na lumalapag sa Davao City International Airport. Ang foreign aircraft ay iniulat na nag-technical stop sa bansa nitong nakaraang linggo.

Tiniyak ni Go na ang mga ganitong technical stops ng government at commercial planes ay may mahigpit na koordinasyon sa mga ahensiya ng pamahalaan, binanggit na “established domestic procedure and in consideration of existing agreements.”

“The same courtesy is extended to Philippine Government aircrafts when technical stops need to be undertaken,” aniya.
